I have never been able to get Dire Hit to work for me in the first two generations. Does it work in Ruby or Pearl yet?
At least I know why it doesn’t work in Red/Blue/Yellow. It has the same bug as Focus Energy. Instead of increasing the critical hit ratio it cuts it. I suspect that, while they fixed Focus Energy in Gold, Dire Hit still has the error, because I’ve tried using it in Crystal and still nothing happens.
