First you have to restart the computer and start firefox and you have to see that your firefox was in safe mode.Sometime plugin for the firefox grey out for some cause such as Adobe Reader, Flash, Java, and Windows Media Player. So you have to checked it that the adds on option you can see in tool menu if you can find it then click on it.Then click on individually plugin and keep in disable mode and checked your program. You can also uninstalled it other method. You have to just installed new firefox on the mozilla and go in program file manger and easily delete the firefox.I wish you would uninstalled it very well.

It took me a few hours to figure out how to remove plugins from my browser. I used the directions you posted, and it actually worked. Does this method work for all plugins, or only certain ones?

A list of your installed plug-ins can be obtained from about:plug-ins. As a general rule, to remove a plug-in, you remove the file listed in about:plug-ins for it. For plug-ins installed by hand, check the appropriate PluginDoc page for any other files to delete.

Go to Tools-->Add-ons-->Plug-ins then Right-Click on the plug-in you want to remove and click on the un-install but make all the tabs are closed and the plug-in you are un-installing is not in the use. It is quit simple.

Well, to delete the PLUGINS from the firefox then you should go to the add ons and from there you can easily delete different PLUGINS as per your requirements. Another thing is that it helps to increase the speed level to access the application.

It is very simple to delete firefox plugins. First of all you have to go to the tool menu of the browser and in that go to the add ons option in that you have to go for plugins option by clicking on plugins. After that click the diable button on the side of plugin which you want to delete.

Help, non of these answers correspond to my setup.

I am using Firefox 13.0 on WinXP Pro SP3 in user mode, not admin.

you mention safe mode, how do you start Firefox in safe mode? simply saying something like
Quote:see that your firefox was in safe mode
doesn't make it so, tell us how to do that.

in my version is is about:plugins, not plug-ins. I have several plugins, but going to that page does not reveal any plugins.

I have a "disable" button, and plugins are disabled, but there is no "uninstall" button. Right clicking does not reveal any uninstall button.

There is no list of plugins in my Tools->Options. May you be using a different version of Firefox?

Disabling is not the same as deleting.

michelnwilson:

There is no option to un-install a plugin when I right click.

Do I need to restart my WinXP in admin mode to do any of these things?

Can I go to a plugins folder somewhere (with Firefox off) and manually remove plugins?

Frustratingly yours,
Mark.
